Bear Grylls Tours Bournemouth Churches
At the invitation of the Bournemouth Church Collective, which includes Lovechurch Bournemouth, part of the HTB Network, Bear Grylls recently toured three venues in Bournemouth and Christchurch. The evening centred around a talk and interview with Bear about his recent bestselling book, ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’, a narrative retelling of the Gospels, bringing the story of Jesus to life through the imagined voices of eyewitnesses.

The book, and Bear’s decision to put his reputation on the line for it, has received widespread media interest since publication and reached no. 1 in the Sunday Times Best Seller list shortly after publication. Bear himself says,
“My dream is that every person on the planet gets introduced to this true, life-changing story of love, courage, sacrifice, and rescue.”
Tickets for all three events sold out within hours of going live. Tim Matthews, Senior Pastor at Lovechurch Bournemouth, who hosted the event at Christchurch Priory shared,
“Earlier this year several different church congregations joined together to baptise 92 people on the beach. Now Bear’s coming to share his faith with thousands of people. Something’s going on. Life is difficult, and society is creaking. People want hope. But they’re tired of flawed leaders. They’re looking again at Jesus’ story and his claims to be our saviour.”
