Plants &
Revitalisations

In line with the Church of England’s strategy for growth, we work with dioceses to plant and revitalise churches in towns and cities across the UK – from Resource Churches that become hubs for resourcing and regeneration in their dioceses, to Neighbourhood Churches that have significant impact on the communities they serve, often located in low-income areas and on housing estates.
Neighbourhood Churches
We estimate that by 2030 over 50% of our Network will be neighbourhood churches, including those on housing estates and low-income areas in suburban residential areas of towns and cities. This involves a different approach to ministry and has become a key priority for our mission.
Resource Churches
At the invitation of the local bishop, we work in partnership with dioceses to plant a Resource Church. These churches are located strategically in major cities within footfall of the younger generation.
Partnering with Dioceses
Since 1985, HTB has been partnering with dioceses across the nation to restore and revitalise Anglican churches - many of which faced imminent closure. These churches are now home to vibrant, spirit-filled, worshipping communities that are having a significant impact on their local communities.
